Our Procedures & Policies

There won’t be any surprises when you work with Tecumseh Tent Rental! The following information will help to guide you through our process of reservation, scheduling, delivery, and pickup of your rental items.

Reservations

A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. We accept cash, check, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. The remaining balance is due upon or before delivery unless payment terms have been previously agreed upon.

Cancellations

Should your event be canceled for any reason, the following policy will apply: Cancellations which occur more than 60 days before the event will result in no charge to you from Tecumseh Tent Rental – your security deposit will be refunded in full. Cancellations which occur within the 60 days before the event will result in a loss of your security deposit on the canceled items. If the entire event is postponed to another date in the same calendar year, we will be happy to transfer the deposit to the new date as long as the same equipment is available on that date.

Setup and Removal

Before we arrive, the installation area must be free and clear of any obstacles that will delay or prevent installation or removal. Any underground utilities must be flagged before arrival. Tecumseh Tent Rental is not responsible for any damage to unmarked underground gas lines, electrical, cable, drain fields, water lines, or other utilities that are buried less than 4’ below the ground surface. Also check your site for overhead electrical lines, utility cables, trees, or branches that may interfere with the tent or rental equipment. At delivery, we will need someone to show where the tent is to be installed and pay any balance due. Prior to the time of removal, all food and debris should be removed from the tent. The tables, chairs, and other rental items must be restacked and ready for pickup at the same location and the manner in which they were left or additional fees will be charged. If you would like our staff to set up your tables, chairs, and other rentals, we would be happy assist you. We require 10 days notification prior to your event to allow for extra time in the schedule required for the additional services. It is the customer’s responsibility to properly clean all items so they are returned in the same condition that they were received in at the time of delivery.

Electricity

If your installation requires electricity for lighting or other equipment rented from Tecumseh Tent Rental, a generator or electrical outlet or outlets of proper amperage need to be available. No electricity at your site? Rent a generator from us.

Loss or Damage

The customer is responsible for all rental equipment while it is in their possession, except for damage caused by severe weather. All equipment must be in the same condition as it was at delivery. Tables, chairs, and other rental items must be restacked and left as they were found at delivery. No crepe paper should touch tent or poles due to dye transfer. No grills or fires, including Tiki lamps, are allowed within 60 feet of tent due to spark and smoke damage and a fire hazard. No heaters are to be used inside the tent or in close proximity to the sidewalls. Any rental items damaged or not returned are charged to the customer at the present retail replacement price plus shipping costs.
